I do master four languages, my mother tongue Dutch and the procedural languages of the European Union, English, German and French. With many years of experience as a journalist and EU specialist, I translate complex European policy, power dynamics, and decision-making into clear, usable insights for media organisations and professionals.
My work sits at the intersection of journalism, policy, and practice. I focus on areas such as migration, defence, regional development, and the EU budget—helping others understand not just what Europe does, but how and why it matters.

Through journalism, podcasts, and training, I bridge the gap between Brussels and national audiences. I support media and organisations in navigating the EU landscape and understanding where decisions are really made—and what they mean in practice.

Based between the Netherlands and Brussels, I work with international partners and am currently expanding collaborations with European media and other institutions.
